Lovely San Miguel de Allende

Our drive from Jalpan to San Miguel de Allende took 4 hours. The first 2 was only about 50 miles up and down the mountains. The last 2 were only interesting because of Maps routing which was funny at times - especially the pronunciation of Spanish words.

As we arrived in San Miguel de Allende it was obvious that it was a Colonial city with skinny streets and tight corners, but it was very little driving to the RV park. The park is in the center of town and is only about $16 which includes hot showers and super secure parking.

We took a little walk the first day but made up for it today with a 9 mile walk followed by pizza and beer. So many beautiful churches, shops, sounds, sights, streets...it was hard to take it all in...but we did our best!

Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel
Guanajuato Grand, neo-Gothic 17th-century church known for its soaring pink spires & lofty, ornate sanctuary.

You can just walk buy an puppy trying to get anyone's attention for some attention.  He's up for adoption!

Church of the Immaculate Conception

El Centro de Arte Y Diseno had a wonderful music exhibit: listening to different classical music with headphone and sitting on special benches where you can feel the music, and another

Fabrica la Aurora -
Renovated textile mill housing cafes, shops & galleries with works by local artists in many mediums.

Charco Del Ingenio -
Natural preserve with a big cactus collection & other indigenous flora, including endangered plants.

On the walk back down the hill into El Centro.

A beautiful sunset to end the day...

Our favorite part of this trip has been the soccer balls we have been giving to kids. One of them is being used as I write this. It fills our hearts up.

Peace and love to everyone...
