Our Last Days in Washington

It is finally here! We are down to just a couple of days before we head south on the PanAmerican Highway. The van is packed and ready and Pam and I are champing at the bit to go.

Yesterday we had a great going away party with a bunch of folks - some family and the rest friends that became family over time. It was fun and loud and happy and sad.

Pam has three days of work left counting today and only one more commute to Seattle!!!

This is how we got here:

First we listed our home for sale May 1st and it closed June 28th. Most of the time it was on the market we were living elsewhere - with friends and pet sitting. Once it was closed the petsitting became our place to stay and we sat goats and cats and dogs. We could have double booked most of the time without an issue so it wasn't hard at all except for leaving the pups on the day we finished the sit. That was always hard.

The last month we have been staying at a place we pet sat at and the people became friends and offered us their home to stay in while they are in Arizona. That kindness and the kindness af so many others continue to be the surprise of this part of our journey. It is impossible to describe how much we appreciate and love everyone along the way.

Because nothing is ever too easy we did have some last minute stuff to take care of, namely the windshield needed replaced and the valve stems on all of the tires were replaced as well since 2 of the five had failed we decided on steel ones instead. On the last oil change my mechanic did the full inspection and handed me a list with nothing required which was a great surprise.

So, here's Vancinzo:

We will do our best to post often - hopefully several times a week as we go so you can follow our journey. If you want to make it easy just subscribe and you'll be notified when any posts happen or take your chances and wait for the Facebook shares.

We want everyone to have as much peace and love as they can stand and more soon....
